QPIC-AI Pilots

QPIC-AI > QPIC-AI Pilots

🇬🇷 Athens Healthcare Pilot

Hybrid QKD–PQC validation for healthcare and critical infrastructure networks.

Goal
Validate QKD-PQC hybrid approach in a hospital network environment
Environment
Clinical and hospital network infrastructure, NCSR Demokritos coordination
Technology tested
PIC-based QKD + PQC hybrid, AI closed-loop control, ETSI KMS
Expected output
Field validation report, interoperability data, certification input

🇦🇹 Vienna Fibre Testbed

Hybrid QKD–PQC validation for healthcare and critical infrastructure networks.

Goal
Demonstrate QPIC-AI performance on European QCI-aligned fibre infrastructure
Environment
QCI-aligned dark fibre metropolitan network, AIT-operated testbed
Technology tested
FPGA QKD engine, AI drift prediction, SDN integration, ETSI conformance
Expected output
QCI-compatible validation dataset, ETSI conformance test results

🇰🇷 Seoul Telecom Pilot

Full integration and telecom-grade validation with SK Telecom.

Goal
Full system integration and validation in Korean commercial telecom environment
Environment
SK Telecom live telecom network infrastructure
Technology tested
Full QPIC-AI stack, KMS/SDN, telecom QKD protocol
Expected output
Telecom-grade benchmarks, EU–KR interoperability report

🌐 Cross-pilot integration

EU–Korea joint validation, certification feedback, interoperability testing.

Goal
Achieve interoperability between EU and Korean QKD deployments
Environment
Distributed across Athens, Vienna, and Seoul pilot sites
Technology tested
Full stack + cross-border KMS, certification tooling, standards alignment
Expected output
EU–KR certification gap report, interoperability roadmap

From laboratory integration to real-world field validation

Each pilot site builds on laboratory integration results from WP5, progressively moving from controlled bench testing to live network deployment. Cross-pilot integration tests in the final project phase establish EU–Korea interoperability and provide the evidence base for the EU–KR certification gap report and interoperability roadmap.
